First university in Quebec to offer a full
garbage recycling program!
In 1994, Université Laval adopted a management plan for the protection and promotion of the environment on campus. In doing so, it became the first university in Québec to meet the challenge of collecting most of the recyclable materials used on campus. However, this goal of the Université Laval Recycling Program has less to do with outperforming others than it does with addressing an environmental problem that can only continue to grow if left unchecked.
