The Université Laval campus covers an
area 1.9 km2 in size, 56% of which is woods, grassy
areas, and sportsfields.
Under its management plan for the protection and
promotion of the environment on campus, Université
Laval has implemented programs dealing with air quality,
design and maintenance of bike paths, regulated garbage
management, overall wooded and green space development,
upkeep of the woods, and improvement of the trail
network.
The plan also aims to encourage the university
community to take advantage of the surrounding natural
setting and increase awareness of the value of protecting
and promoting the environment on campus.
