The vision of the Motor Adaptation Foundation (M.A.F.) is to alert the organisms, the professionals and the general population of the importance of health education, of an active lifestyle, and the synergy between people and their environment, and a better quality of life. The target population is the elderly, independent or partially-independent, as well as people living with one or several limitations.

The Mission:

The M.A.F. supports the organisms and the professionals who have a mission of helping the elderly and special populations to achieve motor independence (example: M.A.F. is involved in the organization of the 21st World Congress of "Rehabilitation International", in 2008).

The three main ways to reach the goals of the M.A.F. are:

  • the research,
  • the education,
  • the promotion of healthy lifestyles.

The Projects:

With the modification of some lifestyle habits, the M.A.F. tends to encourage:

  • the optimal development of the person,
  • the independence of the person,

  • a permanent achievement of wellness.
The six principal projects are:
