Who we are
The association of Mexican students at Laval University (MEXUL) welcomes you to its Internet site. MEXUL exists since 2002 and its objectives are:
- To present and promote Mexican culture among the general community at Laval University;
- To create solidarity and co-operation links between its members;
- To help the newly-arrived Mexican students at Laval University in their adaptation to its new environment;
- To encourage the participation of the Mexican student community into university life;
- To create constructive relationships with both other student associations and Laval University.
How to be a member of MEXUL?
Student Membership
In order to be an student member, all it is required is:
- Being Mexican citizen by birth or naturalisation;
- Being enrolled at Laval University;
- Sending an e-mail to MEXUL's executive committee expressing their interest in being an active member;
- Engaging to participate in a permanent and disciplined way to the conclusion of the objectives of the association.
A Student membership grants the following rights:
- To receive the necessary information and support for your sojourn at Laval University;
- To participate in the association as a charge of the activities we organise;
- To cast a vote in the decisions of the association;
- To be proposed as a candidate to some of the positions in MEXUL's executive committee.
External membership
This memberships is intended to any individual wishing to be a part of MEXUL without being Mexican or a student at
Laval University. This membership is granted upon request to the members of the executive committee and it requires
its approval to be effective. External members have the same rights as student members, but cannot be proposed as candidates
to the positions in MEXUL's executive committee.
