Our student population for the fall 2017 term:

  • 43,000 students
  • 70% full-time
  • 25% in master’s and PhD programs

Over 230 student associations and two student unions: CADEUL, for undergraduate students, and AELIÉS, for graduate students.

More than 7,000 international or permanent-resident students, representing 14% of the total student body.

With some 900 of our students studying outside Québec every year, Université Laval is a leader in student mobility.

 

Diplomas

12,334 diplomas and certificates awarded in 2016–2017:

  • 5,675 bachelor’s degrees
  • 2,013 master’s degrees
  • 350 doctorates
  • 2,064 certificates
  • 528 graduate diplomas
  • 1,704 short program certificates of completion and other attestations
 

Staff

9,335 employees (full- and part-time):

  • 1,625 professors
  • 2,105 lecturers and other teaching and research staff
  • 3,030 administrative and support staff members
  • 2,575 students working on campus

Université Laval also has 615 adjunct professors and more than 5,500 clinical lecturers in its health and social services network.
