International mobility

UL is a leader in international mobility and provides all kinds of opportunities to study or do internships abroad. Every year, some 1,000 undergraduate and graduate students take advantage of mobility programs to study on another continent or elsewhere in North America. And every year, UL welcomes nearly 5,600 international students and permanent residents from over 120 countries.

Thanks to UL agreements with some 520 institutions of higher learning and various organizations in nearly 70 countries, you can choose to complete part of your degree abroad and get a whole new perspective on your field of study. Depending on the mobility program, you could qualify for a travel scholarship of up to $3,000 per session.

International profile

Integrating the international profile into your degree program gives you the opportunity to study abroad for one or two sessions. This option, which is available in 101 undergraduate and 54 non-thesis graduate programs, has been highly praised by the Canadian Bureau for International Education for its quality and innovation.

International and intercultural internships

International and intercultural internships are available for undergraduate and graduate students. These for-credit internships are incorporated into your degree program. They take place in an emerging country, are closely supervised, and include orientation upon arrival.

Exchanges Canada

Exchanges Canada gives you the opportunity to study for one or two sessions in one of the many English-language universities across the country and improve your English. This program is reserved for students registered in undergraduate programs and non-thesis master’s programs.
