The Immigration Process for New Students

It is time to begin the immigration process with the governments of Québec and of Canada, as you will need their authorization to study in Québec. We highly recommend that new students begin this process immediately after they receive their offer of admission (regardless of the type of admission).

To help you to learn more about this important topic, we have prepared a webinar that is divided into three parts:

• A presentation about the immigration process
• A live question and answer (Q&A) session
• An online chat session with our team of regulated international student immigration advisors (RISIA) who are eager to answer your questions that are specific to your personal situation

*This webinar is meant for international students (i.e., students who are neither citizens nor permanent residents of Canada) who have been admitted to a ULaval program lasting longer than 6 months.

To register for the webinar, you will need your 9-digit Student ID Number (NI). You can find it in your offer of admission (offre d’admission) and all official communications you receive from the Bureau du registraire of Université Laval.
