Call for proposals for the creation of Interdisciplinary Research Chairs

The Office of the Vice Rector, Research and Innovation at Université Laval has launched a call for proposals for interdisciplinary research chairs.

Objectives and characteristics of the interdisciplinary research chairs

The interdisciplinary research chairs aim to recruit new faculty members to strengthen the university’s capacity to address complex issues and major societal challenges by fostering collaboration across disciplines, integration of knowledge, and innovation. Through these new faculty positions, these chairs will also help train a new generation of students capable of thinking and operating beyond disciplinary boundaries. These chairs illustrate ULaval’s commitment to making interdisciplinarity a strategic driver for developing high-impact collaborative research, sustainably integrating knowledge, and producing concrete solutions to the major challenges of our time.
