Costs of studying in Canada

Student life in Québec and Canada can turn out to be much more expensive than expected! While the Canadian government requires you to have a minimum amount of financial resources to study here, you will quickly learn that this is not enough.

The Student Life Office has partnered with the Student Awards and Financial Aid Office to provide an information session on the costs of studying in Canada so you can prepare.

The presentation will cover topics like potential pitfalls, living expenses, tuition fees, moving expenses, one-time expenses, and credit cards.

Optional Q&A sessions

Clearing Canadian customs and receiving your study permit

Going through Canadian customs can be an especially stressful part of coming to Canada. The Student Life Office offers a Q&A session to help you prepare properly and make sure your study permit is in order. This is also a chance for you to ask immigration advisors any questions you might have about this important step.

Among other things, the session also covers the process of going through Canadian customs and verifying key information on your study permit.
