Spiritual and religious practices in Québec City
Extracurricular student organizations with a spiritual or religious focus
Université Laval recognizes the spiritual and religious dimensions experienced by members of the university community. Religious or spiritual groups may obtain official status as accredited extracurricular student organizations. In accordance with the regulations governing the recognition of extracurricular student associations at Université Laval (PDF, in French only), students can pursue their own goals and activities in line with their chosen tradition.
They are guaranteed the rights of association and freedom of conscience in religious matters, which entails the genuine ability to think, speak, act and express their beliefs, as well as welcome new members. These rights also entail a mutual responsibility to respect the freedom of conscience of other student organizations within the university community. In this way, these groups contribute to the vibrancy and friendliness of our campus.
In a world where the spiritual and religious spheres are undergoing profound change, Université Laval is becoming a learning laboratory where students can learn how to live out and bear witness to their faith, while respecting the diversity of spiritual and religious beliefs and choices held by other members of the university community.

Places of worship
In addition to the religious and spiritual student organizations on campus, the region is home to numerous places of worship that reflect the religious diversity of Québec City. If you are looking for a place of worship that aligns with your beliefs, please feel free to contact our spiritual advisor at daniel.fradette@bve.ulaval.ca. He will be able to assist you in your search.
