Applicants for Undergraduate Programs

Important: the Registrar's Office reserves the right to ask, at any moment, the official documents in support to your admission application for verification and monitoring purposes.

You have to provide the documents necessary for your admission application within 30 calendar days after the submission of your request and the payment of the application fee. In some cases, the required time can be shorter. Consult your admission file to know the exact date. 

Make sure to send the requested documents in accordance with the deadline. A delay could cause a refusal in the wanted program. 

Québec applicants currently enrolled in college studies

  • No documentation required

Québec applicants who hold a Diploma of College Studies (DCS, or DEC in French)

  • Birth certificate (legible copy)

Canadian applicants who have completed the equivalent of a (DCS, or DEC in French)

  • Birth certificate (legible copy)
  • Legible copy of transcript(s) of secondary, college-level, post-secondary, or pre-university studies

Canadian applicants who meet the definition of mature student

  • Birth certificate (legible copy)
  • Detailed résumé including a description of your work/life experience
  • Legible copy of achievement records or transcripts of secondary (with the name of the diploma received), post-secondary, and university studies, if applicable

Applicants currently enrolled at Université Laval

  • Legible copy of transcript(s) of secondary, college-level, post-secondary, or pre-university studies
  • The Registrar’s Office may later request a copy of your diploma.

Applicants who previously attended Université Laval

And registered within the past 5 years:

  • In some situations, the Registrar’s Office may later request a copy of your birth certificate.
  • Legible copy of transcript(s) of secondary, college-level, post-secondary, or pre-university studies
  • Legible copy of transcripts from your university studies or studies undertaken after completing your pre-university studies

And registered 5 or more years ago:

  • Birth certificate (legible copy)
  • Legible copy of transcripts from your university studies or studies undertaken after completing your pre-university studies

Applicants who attended another Québec university

  • Birth certificate (legible copy)
  • Legible copy of transcripts from your university studies or additional studies undertaken after completing your pre-university studies

International applicants

  • Upon arrival, international applicants must present their passports or study permits for the purpose of confirming their dates of birth.
  • Legible copy of official transcripts from your final 2 years of pre-university education
  • Legible copy of official results of grades received on secondary level baccalaureate exams
  • Legible copy of official transcripts from your university studies or additional studies undertaken after completing your pre-university education.
  • Legible copy of diplomas or degree certificates, once awarded, or official transcripts showing the name of the diploma received.

Canadian applicants born outside Québec or outside Canada

  • Canadian applicants born outside Québec must provide a legible copy of their birth certificate.
  • Canadian applicants born outside Canada must provide front and back copies of their Canadian Citizenship Card.
  • A duly completed copy of the form Additional Information for Permanent Code (REG-180a-AD) (PDF) for attribution of your permanent code
  • Legible copy of official transcripts from the last 2 years of pre-university studies and, if applicable, official transcripts for each subsequent year of post-secondary studies.
  • Legible copy of official transcripts from your university studies or additional studies undertaken after completing your pre-university education.
  • Legible copy of diplomas or degree certificates, once awarded, or official transcripts showing the name of the diploma received

Applicants who are permanent residents of Canada

  • Front and back copies of your permanent resident card and Quebec Selection Certificate (CSQ), if applicable
  • Legible copy of transcripts for college, post-secondary, or pre-university studies
  • Legible copy of transcripts from your university studies or additional studies undertaken after completing your pre-university education
  • Legible copy of diplomas or degree certificates, once awarded, or official transcripts showing the name of the diploma received
