Respond to an Offer of Admission

Steps to follow

To reply to an offer of admission:

  • Go to your admission file on monPortail.
  • Find the chosen program in the admission applications follow-up table and click on the "Répondre à l'offre" button (in French only).
  • Consult the decision details and click on "Accepter" (in French only).

Response deadlines

Unlimited enrolment programs

If you receive an offer of admission for a specific semester, you must reply as soon as possible.

Limited enrolment or limited space program

If your program has limited enrolment or limited space, you must reply to the offer by the deadline indicated in monPortail.

If you are a college applicant, the response deadline is May 1. If your offer arrives after that date, you must respond by the deadline indicated in monPortail.

PhD in medicine and PhD in dental medicine: Whether you are a college or university applicant, you must respond to the offer by the deadline indicated in monPortail.

If you answered “no” to an offer of admission to a limited enrolment or limited space program, you cannot change your response.

If you are placed on a waiting list, you are not required to respond. However, if you wish to be removed from the waiting list, you can do so electronically on monPortail.

Changing a response to an offer of admission

If you have accepted or declined an offer to a program and wish to change your response, you must inform the Registrar’s Office by writing to saisie@reg.ulaval.ca. Make sure you indicate your full name, ID number, and program. Please allow time for the change to be reflected in your monPortail account. Note, however, that this procedure does not apply if you have declined an offer to a limited enrolment or limited space program.

If you have already accepted an offer of admission to a program and you wish to decline it to accept an offer to another program, you must first accept the offer to the second program. At that point you will have the option to change programs and decline the offer to the first program.

You must have accepted an offer of admission to register for courses or activities.

Registering for courses

Once you have accepted the offer of admission, your faculty will contact you by email at the appropriate time to welcome you to your program and help you register for courses. Learn more about course registration.
