This advanced engineering program will prepare you to meet complex technical challenges through the acquisition of specialized knowledge and research expertise. You will have the opportunity to study in a stimulating research environment that is home to outstanding labs in hydraulics, the environment, geotechnics, and concrete infrastructure.

Admission Requirements

Applicants must have a M.Sc. or equivalent degree.

Language requirements

Applicants must demonstrate proficiency in French OR English. Students must ensure that they have a good understanding of English and, if necessary, take steps to improve their language skills during their studies (for example at Université Laval’s language school). In the event of significant deficiencies, program direction can impose corrective measures. 

Applicants must comply with one of the following criteria:

  • Knowledge of French : obtain a score of at least 605 out of 990 on the International French Test (TFI)
  • Knowledge of English: A score of at least 675 out of 990 on the Test of English for International Communication, Listening and Reading (TOEIC) OR a score of at least 64 out of 120  on the Test of English as a Foreign Language (TOEFL-IBT) OR a score of at least 53 out of 70 on the VEPT test  OR pass the course ANL-2020 Intermediate English II with a grade of at least C.
