This program gives you the opportunity to conduct research under the supervision of internationally renowned research professors in the fields of healthy lifestyle habits, biomechanics, physiology, and exercise genetics.

Admission Requirements

Applicants must have a master’s degree in kinesiology, or an equivalent degree.

Applicants must have a grade point average of at least 2.67 out of 4.33 or the equivalent as recognized by Université Laval. 

French proficiency

The language of instruction at Université Laval is French. Hence, a good knowledge of written and spoken French is highly recommended. Students who are not proficient enough in French may have difficulty in their studies. Once admitted, students are responsible for arranging any necessary assistance in translating and submitting their work in French. With the professor’s permission, students may submit their work in English.

English proficiency

Applicants must have a good understanding of written English. Applicants who are not proficient in French must have an excellent knowledge of English.  Students whose mother tongue is neither French nor English may be required to provide proof of English proficiency before being admitted.

  • Obesity, diabetes, cardiovascular disease, and their comorbidities and complications
