If you are a Université Laval student who needs information or help getting or renewing immigration documents for yourself or your immediate family, you can schedule a virtual or in-person appointment with an international student advisor.

Before making an appointment

Make sure to check the Immigration section of our website before you make an appointment, as you should be able to find answers to many of your questions there.

There are also workshops and information sessions throughout the year, which are a good chance to ask questions and find information.

Making an appointment

You can book in-person and virtual appointments on our online booking platform . Note that it only shows openings for same-day and next-day appointments.

By meeting with an advisor, you are agreeing to our service standards.

Appointments will not be scheduled by phone or email.

  • If there are no appointments available, you might not see anything on the calendar and there might be a loading message (“Le chargement est en cours… Merci de patienter”) beside the advisors’ names.
  • Openings are posted at midnight, but may be filled within a few minutes to several hours depending on demand. If none of the available times work for you or if the service is fully booked, check for new openings over the next few days.
  • New openings are not typically posted on Fridays or Saturdays. If you would like a Monday appointment, check the platform early Sunday morning (at or after midnight on Saturday).
  • You can choose which advisor you would like to see. To see all advisors’ availability, select “N’importe quel employé” (any employee).
  • After you book an appointment, make sure you receive a confirmation email. If you did not receive one, check your spam folder and make sure you did not mistype your email address. If you have any problems, please contact us at 418-656-2765.

If your questions have to do with information on your immigration documents (CAQ, permit, etc.), we recommend having the original or scanned documents with you during the appointment.

If you are contacting us for help with an online immigration application, please log in to the relevant platform before your appointment.

Please arrive 5 minutes early.

In-person appointments are held at the Student Life Office:

Alphonse-Desjardins Building
2325 De l’Université St.
Room 2344

Please log in 5 minutes before your appointment.

Virtual appointments are held on Teams. Your confirmation email will include a link to join the call.

We do our best to start appointments at the designated time. However, there may be slight delays if other appointments run long. We ask that you stay online until the advisor arrives.

If you can no longer keep the appointment, please cancel it by clicking the link in your confirmation email or email at information@bve.ulaval.ca as soon as possible.

Emailed questions

We will not answer immigration consultation questions over email. We offer in-person and virtual meetings so that we can serve you better and tailor our answers to our needs.

Service standards

Our immigration consultants are licensed by the College of Immigration and Citizenship Consultants (CICC) . This means that they are required to abide by a Code of Professional Conduct and are held to very strict confidentiality standards, some of which are set by the Act respecting Access to documents held by public bodies and the Protection of personal information .
