Historical mobilization with professors and lecturers to ensure the end of the academic session

We are very pleased to announce that historic collaborative agreements have been reached between the management of Université Laval and the professors' unions and lecturers' unions. These collaborations will ensure the health and safety of staff and curb the spread of COVID-19, while making exceptional efforts to make a rapid shift to distance education delivery and online courses wherever possible.
Our academic community is engaged and mobilized as never before. Our professors and lecturers are creative and flexible in adapting their courses to allow our students to complete their sessions.

Ability to drop courses without failure

We are aware that the suspension of face-to-face classes disrupts the lives of our students. This is why we have decided to extend the deadline for dropping out of classes without a failing grade and without tuition reimbursement from March 23, 2020 to April 26, 2020. This measure affects all courses in the winter session and will offer more flexibility to our students.

Online Summer Schools

Only summer schools that can be carried out entirely remotely will be allowed this year, due to the current health crisis.

Stay at home

We join Quebec Premier François Legault in encouraging our students to stay home. Avoid all types of gatherings, parties or meetings in the coming days.  Social distancing is everyone's responsibility.
