Limit your travel within Quebec and Canada

To the entire university community,

Due to the state of health emergency declared throughout Quebec and in several Canadian provinces and territories, Université Laval is asking that all travel in Quebec and other Canadian provinces be limited to what is strictly necessary until further notice. Meetings by telephone or videoconference should be preferred.

Travel outside Canada is still prohibited until further notice.

These measures are intended for the entire university community: students, faculty and staff members. These measures apply to all travel required in the performance of duties or in connection with, among other things, an internship, a student exchange, an international mobility program, a research program, a competition or a conference.

Only the regional internships of medical, dental and pharmacy residents and undergraduate students in pharmacy are maintained. The Premier's directive concerning travel within Quebec does not apply to long-term work; rather, it is intended to reduce travel for leisure purposes.

No messages to the community this weekend

Since the beginning of the health emergency, we have made a habit of answering your questions and informing you daily by e-mail of the new directives. While our teams will remain on standby for the entire weekend, there will be no message to the community on March 21 and 22. To follow the evolution of the situation, please refer to the COVID-19 section on the University's website.
