Scoring procedures for the Winter 2020 session

On the recommendation of the University Council, Université Laval has decided that at the end of the winter semester of 2020, the student, after having taken note of the final grade of his or her course(s), will be able to either:

  •  keep the grade obtained, which will contribute to the calculation of averages

or

  • have a "pass" or "fail" rating, which will have no numerical value and will not contribute to the calculation of averages.

Details on how to apply will be communicated to you early next week.

We sincerely hope that this announcement will allow you to continue your winter session and meet your various personal requirements.

COVID-19 tests accessible to everyone

The Quebec government has made medical clinics dedicated to the diagnosis of COVID-19 available to the entire population. Whether you have access to medical coverage or not, whether you have immigration status or not, if you have symptoms, contact 1 877 644-4545 for a referral.

Foreign students at Université Laval already have  private insurance (Desjardins' ASHEE program), which offers coverage equivalent to that of Quebecers. In this context, the COVID-19 screening test is eligible for reimbursement.

Taking a step back from the crisis and preparing for the future

What if the current crisis was an opportunity to reinvent ourselves, to let new ideas spring up? This is what Christophe Roux-Dufort, a professor at the Faculty of Administrative Sciences (FSA), who has been specializing in crisis management and communication for more than 25 years, suggests. Mr. Roux-Dufort is offering three free 30-minute webinars to take a step back from the crisis, find its meaning and possibilities, and then prepare for the future. There is still time to register for the third webinar in the series Antibodies - A Guide to Survival and Organizational and Individual Life in the Time of the Coronavirus, which will take place on Tuesday, March 31 at 11:00 a.m. The webinars can also be viewed in catch-up mode on the FSA's YouTube channel.

Remote Physiotherapy

In order to help society and relieve the emergency room of the health care system, the PEPS Clinic offers telephone or video advice from its physiotherapists for any musculoskeletal problem. This new service is in effect for the duration of the clinic's closure. Interested parties can write to urgencecliniquedupeps@sas.ulaval.ca and leave their contact information. A physiotherapist will be able to provide personalized advice and exercises, within the limits of tele-rehabilitation.

Restricted access to the pavilions

Since very few Université Laval staff members are authorized to visit the various pavilions on campus, we have decided to restrict access to them until May 1st. The doors of the pavilions will be locked at all times. Access to the pavilions through the tunnels will also be closed. The Security and Prevention Service will be able to open the door identified for each pavilion to authorized persons only. Full details are available on the Pavilion Access page

Looking forward to seeing you again!

The campus is empty without you and your invigorating energy. We look forward to seeing you again. In the meantime, let's stick together to respect public health guidelines and use the virtual world to keep in touch. Have a great weekend!

No messages to the community this weekend

Since the beginning of the health emergency, we have made a habit of answering your questions and informing you daily of the new directives. While our teams will remain on standby for the entire weekend, there will be no message to the community on March 28 and 29.
