Undergraduate programs

To be admitted to an undergraduate program at Université Laval, you must hold a pre-university diploma attesting to 12 years of education and have completed 1 year of postsecondary studies.

If you do not meet these requirements, you may be required to complete qualifying courses at Université Laval before starting your program. This year consists of 30 qualifying credits, and possibly 6 credits in the university program you have chosen, over two semesters. The qualifying year is available for unlimited enrolment programs only.

Graduate programs

To be admitted to a graduate program, you must hold the minimum diploma required and meet the admission requirements for your particular degree program.

Program-specific admission requirements

Some programs have specific admission criteria. Above-average results, a minimum level of French proficiency, and preselection of a graduate research supervisor are among the possible requirements. View the official program descriptions* to confirm your eligibility.

Limited enrolment and limited space programs also have specific admission requirements to consider.
