Loans from Canadian provinces other than Québec

The Canada Student Financial Assistance Program offers grants and loans to full- and part-time students. It is intended for individuals from low- and middle-income households, as well as those with dependants or disabilities.

Leadership and commitment scholarships — Research-based graduate programs

Master’s: $10,000
Doctorate: $30,000

These scholarships support students who demonstrate exceptional commitment in one of the following 6 areas: the arts, entrepreneurship, the environment, science, social/humanitarian work, and athletics

Supplemental tuition fee exemption scholarships and programs

Canadian students enrolled in an eligible degree program at Université Laval can receive exemptions that allow them to study in French in Québec while paying the same tuition fees as Québec students.

Up to $5,000 for an internship

The Fonds de recherche du Québec – Santé (FRQS) offers bachelor’s degree students the opportunity to gain research experience in the health sciences in a university setting through its introductory research scholarships.

Graduate scholarships from granting agencies – Graduate programs

Master’s: $20,000 to $27,000 per year
Doctorate: $25,000 to $40,000 per year
