Each of us contributes in our own way!

Quebec is on a break, but the entire university community is active. In our daily newsletter, we talked about faculty staff and some of the services that have to be on campus. Today, we would like to thank and acknowledge the work of those who continue their telework activities, not to mention those who are unable to continue their work, thus actively contributing to the collective effort to stay at home. Everyone definitely has an important role to play in the exceptional circumstances we are experiencing; the University's management is speaking on behalf of the faculty and service branches to tell you how proud we are of your response to this request for collaboration.

Keeping the balance

The situation of confinement and telework that we all experience is so exceptional that it can generate a multitude of reactions and emotions. We would like to remind you today how important your personal balance is to us. It is important that you take care of yourself and your loved ones in order to prevent or combat stress and anxiety.

Through Mon équilibre UL, Université Laval provides you with a wide range of resources, whether you are a student or a staff member. By visiting the website Mon équilibre UL, you will be entitled to advice on nutrition, healthy lifestyle habits and stress management.

PEPS has started offering online workouts to help you get moving at home: Visit their Facebook page.

Staff can find support for themselves or their families through the Employee Assistance Program (EAP). Several texts and tools are available. It is also possible to chat live with a psychological health specialist. These tools and services are free and 100% confidential.

Finally, we invite you to consult this Quebec government fact sheet that presents possible reactions in the context of a pandemic. It includes possible manifestations of stress, anxiety and depression, ideas for taking care of yourself and contact information for available resources.
