Francophone Belgian students
Under the Entente entre le Gouvernement du Québec et le Gouvernement de la Communauté française de Belgique, signed by the Government of Québec and the French Community of Belgium on April 11, 2018, francophone Belgian students who meet the eligibility requirements are subject to the following tuition fees, starting in the fall 2018 semester:
To be eligible to pay the same tuition and fees applicable to Québec residents or Canadian residents from outside Québec, francophone Belgian students must:
- hold a valid Belgian passport
- hold a national ID card identifying them as francophone Belgians or
- hold a certificate of upper secondary education (CESS) or a bachelor’s or master’s degree from a compulsory or higher education institution organized or subsidized by the French Community of Belgium
- hold a study permit in accordance with Canadian immigration legislation and regulations and a Québec acceptance certificate (CAQ) (exceptionally, for the winter 2022 semester, students starting a distance learning program from outside Canada must provide proof that their CAQ application was filed before December 15, 2021). Documents should be emailed to firstname.lastname@example.org.
Students who realize their program entirely remotely outside Canada are not eligible for the tarification under this agreement.
Francophone Belgian students enrolled in an undergraduate degree or diploma program offered by a Québec university pay the same tuition and fees as Canadian residents from outside Québec.
Francophone Belgian students enrolled in a graduate degree or diploma program offered by a Québec university pay the same tuition and fees as Québec residents.
